Wire Transfer
Moving Your Money
What is a wire transfer?
A wire transfer is the movement of funds electronically from one account to another. This prevents you from having to carry large amounts of cash to transfer quickly and securely. At Peoples Advantage, we offer domestic wire transfers.
Outgoing Wire Instructions
To be able to initiate a wire, we will need a couple of things:
Wire Agreement: This document needs to be signed at Colonial Heights or the Petersburg branch. We do not offer these services at our Financial Empowerment Centers. You do have the option to have the agreement notarized and sent electronically. This step is required before completing a wire transfer.
Outgoing Wire Form: Once we have the Wire Agreement on file, you can either come by a branch and fill out a wire form or you can contact us at 804.748.3081 and we can generate the form for you, input the information that is needed, and send it over electronically through email via Docusign for your signature.
Wire Fee: A $15 wire fee will be applied once the wire is created.
The outgoing wire will process the same day if done before 4 PM. If done after 4 PM, the wire will be processed the next day.
